In April of each year, organizations across the nation observe Child Abuse Prevention Month. During the entire month, organizations dedicated to raising awareness of, addressing and preventing child abuse seek to educate their communities on the dangers of child abuse and provide information on how community members can help protect children in their community.
Each April, the Children’s Advocacy Center of Lawrence County plants nearly 30 pinwheel gardens across the area. The gardens are meant to be eye-catching and serve to remind community members of the importance of the month. The pinwheels themselves represent the best of what childhood should be – playful, happy, safe and carefree.
The Children’s Advocacy Center needs your help in making these gardens possible. Through a donation of just $250, you enable the planting of multiple pinwheel gardens in Lawrence County, while simultaneously supporting the critical work of the CAC in supporting the children and families that call this area home. Thank you for generously supporting the CAC and the 2025 Pinwheel Gardens!
