The UPMC Horizon and Jameson Foundations celebrated the hardworking staff of the UPMC Horizon and Jameson Hospitals’ three locations on May 9th through 11th by providing complimentary meals to staff members. The Foundations served 1,400 meals from Chick-Fil-A at the Shenango Valley, Jameson and Greenville hospitals as part of an ongoing celebration of Hospital Week and Nurses Week.
“Our team members, from front-line medical care providers to administrative staff to operations employees, have all been integral in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospitals over the past two years, despite challenges above and beyond normal demands on the health care field,” said Adam Nowland, Director of the Foundations. “Providing a free meal is such a small way for the Foundations and our Boards of Directors to say ‘thank you’ for their hard work, but we want to celebrate our employees’ hard work and dedication to our patients and our communities.”
The Foundations offer a particular thank you to the volunteers who helped plan, coordinate and serve the meals at each of the hospitals during the event.
