We extend a heartfelt thank you to all who join the 2nd Annual UPMC Horizon & Jameson Foundations Community 5K on August 10th, 2024.
It was a beautiful day at Buhl Park with over 150 participants, volunteers, and supporters coming together to support community health.
While the 1 mile walk offered a relaxing way to support the Foundations, the 5K run was a competitive and thrilling event! Taking home first place overall and in the men’s competition was Marcos Cruvinel, completing the race in an impressive 19:34. Congratulations to all our top finishers: Joseph Friedl in second, and John Erdesky III in third. For the women’s competition, Nicolette DeVincentis claimed the top spot with a time of 22:45, followed closely by Aisling Brink and Amanda Hanson. We applaud each and every walker and runner for their dedication and effort!
Thanks to the generosity of our participants, sponsors, and volunteers, we raised over $10,000 in support of vital hospital and community health initiatives. These funds will go directly toward programs that improve healthcare access and promote healthy living throughout our region.
We sincerely appreciate all who made this event such a success. Whether you ran, walked, volunteered, or cheered on participants, you made a difference and we are grateful for you!
