Dr. Edgardo Lob Memorial Cancer Care Fund
Providing emotional comfort and financial support for local oncology patients and their families.
About the Dr. Edgardo Lob Cancer Care Fund
The Dr. Edgardo Lob Memorial Cancer Care Fund supports cancer patients being treated locally through the Hillman Cancer Centers at UPMC Horizon. The Fund seeks to provide comfort and assistance to patients during their treatment, to provide support, training, and education for healthcare professionals, and to support national cancer research and educational organizations.
The Fund is administered by the UPMC Horizon Community Health Foundation and is overseen by a group of UPMC Horizon and UPMC Hillman Cancer Center staff members and community volunteers. The objective of the Fund is to improve the health and well-being of cancer patients and their families through various programs that make patients more comfortable and enable them to access the care they need during treatment.
The Fund relies on donor support to provide funding for initiatives that support these programs. All donations to the Dr. Edgardo Lob Memorial Cancer Care Fund go directly to helping local patients and their families, to improve the level of care provided to those patients, and to support cancer research. Your gift to the Fund will directly impact patients in need of support and care.
