The UPMC Horizon Foundation is proud to announce the inaugural selection of the Dr. Edgardo Lob Memorial Cancer Care Fund Scholarship. This scholarship is made possible through the Lob Fund, which has supported cancer patients in and around Mercer County for many years. This scholarship provides a $2,000 renewable scholarship to a 2024 Mercer County high school graduate pursuing higher education in a health care related field.
The Foundation congratulates this year’s recipient, Abigail Gardner. Abigail is a 2024 graduate of Hickory High School and will attend John Carroll University this fall, studying biomedical physics with a pre-med focus.
