Nursing Grads at UPMC Jameson Achieve 96% NCLEX Pass Rate
The UPMC Jameson School of Nursing, located in New Castle Pennsylvania, is celebrating the continued readiness of its graduates to enter the nursing field. From 2022 to 2024, the program’s graduates increased their first-time NCLEX pass rate from 47.1% to 96%, a significant accomplishment.
NCLEX, or the National Council Licensure Examination, is a nationwide exam for the licensing of nurses across the country. After graduating from a school of nursing, a nurse candidate takes the NCLEX exam and upon passing receives their nursing license.
As the market demand for nurses remains very high, the School of Nursing continues to see a robust pipeline of students seeking to enter the field. Dr. Mary Beth Langdon, the Director of the UPMC Jameson School of Nursing, says that 130 newnew students are anticipated to enroll at the School at the start of the Fall 2025 semester. In addition to its RN program, the School also maintains a partnership with Westminster College for students in its BSN program.
All students participate in a combination of classroom teaching, lab studies, simulation, and clinical work as part of a comprehensive curriculum.
The Foundations remain proud to support the School and its students.
