The UPMC Horizon Community Health Foundation celebrated the grand opening of the new Medical Equipment Recycling Program in New Castle, Pennsylvania on Thursday, June 20th. This location is open to the public and allows customers to borrow durable medical equipment. The Grand Opening featured a ribbon cutting attended by UPMC Jameson and Horizon Hospital and Foundation leadership, MERP staff, and representatives from the community and State Representative Marla Brown’s office. The new location was made possible in large part by a generous, six-figure grant from the May Emma Hoyt Foundation. The UPMC Horizon Community Health Foundation thanks everyone who attended, with a special thank you to the dedicated MERP team who work at each of the three community locations.
The New Castle MERP facility is open from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM Tuesdays-Thursdays and is located in the Jameson Professional Building located at 1211 Wilmington Avenue, New Castle, PA, 16105. To contact the facility directly, call: 724-656-4000 or fax: 724-786-7733.
