Ten years ago, UPMC Jameson joined the UPMC network, helping secure the future of local health care and laying the foundation for a stronger regional system. Today, we look back at a decade of growth, investment and expanded services, and celebrate the people who make UPMC Jameson an important part of our community.
A Decade of Growth, Care and Community
A Message from Dave Patton, President, UPMC Jameson and UPMC Horizon
This year, Jameson Hospital continues to celebrate its Tenth Anniversary of being part of the UPMC network. Over the past decade, UPMC Jameson has continued a long and proud legacy of providing exceptional health care to the members of the Lawrence County community and beyond. During that time, more than $100 million has been invested in this hospital, its network of health care professionals, and the equipment and training which enables patients to receive local care for a wide variety of health needs. Together, along with UPMC Horizon – Shenango Valley and UPMC Horizon – Greenville in Mercer County, our regional network of hospitals is committed to caring everyone who lives, works, and travels across this region.
Of course, no hospital can function without the dedication, hard work and skill of its medical, operational and administrative teams. What truly sets UPMC Jameson apart as an extraordinary institution is the team of people who care for our patients, facilities and equipment. I believe that the team you find at UPMC Jameson is one of the most committed, energetic and talented group of people in health care anywhere today. They consider UPMC Jameson and this community their home, and they are precisely what makes the care you receive at UPMC Jameson “life changing medicine.”
We hope that you enjoy these stories about our anniversary and the people who make UPMC Jameson a special place. All of us at UPMC Jameson and UPMC Horizon look forward to serving you, your family, your neighbors and your community for years to come.
10 Years of Foundation Support & Community Impact
A Message from Jay Bruce, Chairman of the Board, UPMC Jameson Health Care Foundation and UPMC Horizon Community Health Foundation
As UPMC Jameson marks the completion of ten years as part of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Centers, we likewise reflect on the same anniversary for the UPMC Jameson Health Care Foundation. Originally established to support Jameson Hospital, the Foundation continues to care for UPMC Jameson, its patients, its health care workers, and our community’s health. Our mission remains the same: to ensure that UPMC Jameson has the resources it needs to offer exceptional health care services as this community’s hospital. In coordination with the UPMC Horizon Community Health Foundation, serving our two UPMC Horizon hospitals in Mercer County, the UPMC Jameson Foundation is committed to caring for everyone in our area.
Our Foundation and hospital boards of directors are made up of local residents who care about the health of those living in this region. The donors who support the Foundations’ mission are likewise people who consider Lawrence and Mercer Counties and the surrounding area their home. While UPMC Jameson is part of a larger network, our regional system is made up of community members caring for their friends, family and neighbors. Each of you, as a supporter of our Foundations, are also a part of what makes UPMC Jameson and Horizon such special places.
Thank you for your continued support for our UPMC Jameson and Horizon Foundations, their programs, and the patients and health care workers we serve. Thank you for being part of UPMC Jameson’s story.
